The valley floor will warm to the upper 60s this afternoon. The gusty north winds will slowly begin to relax by this evening.
Thursday will have our first of two systems on the way to the NorthState to give the mountains a chance for some showers. That system will bring a return of the clouds and breezy winds but will likely keep most of the rain in the mountains with only a few showers making it into the valley. The weekend is the next chance for rain and brings varying intensities of that rain depending on which model you look at. The GFS brings quite a bit, coupled with very cold temperatures, which could lower snow levels down to around 3,000 ft. The Euro on the other hand, delays the system into the following week, bringing lots of rain, but delaying it until Monday and Tuesday. It still is a very long way off, and nothing is certain yet. We will continue to watch this system as it moves in and update you on the latest.
