Wednesday was a windy day for many of us with gusts between 25 and 32 mph in Redding and Red Bluff. The winds weren't as strong south of Red Bluff with gusts only reaching 12 mph in Chico. There is a Red Flag Warning in the valley including Redding and Red Bluff until 5:00pm Thursday. It will still be breezy through Thursday morning but should die down through the day. The Red Flag Warning for Western Siskiyou will expire at 10pm Thursday.
We will start Thursday off with breezy north winds once again but they should die down throughout the day with highs in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees under sunny skies. This heat is expected to last through at least the middle of next week if not longer.
