We’ve got one more day of above average temperatures and mostly sunny skies before the first in a series of storms arrives.  Temperatures will once again be in the low 70’s in the valley on Tuesday under mostly sunny skies.  We’ll notice clouds on the increase on Wednesday but the rain isn’t expected to arrive until the late afternoon and evening hours for most of us.  We will continue with a chance for off and on rain showers through at least the weekend with the heaviest expected on Wednesday evening and Friday.

As the storms move through they are expected to also give us gusty winds at times with gusts between 20 and 30 mph.  Although the snow levels are expected to be lower than the last storm they will still be fairly high and will eventually drop to as low as 4000 feet by Saturday but will average around 5000 feet.  There may also be enough instability on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for a few isolated thunderstorms.  Once all is said and done the valley could pick up between 1 and 2 inches of rain through Sunday.

Be sure to keep checking in as the details of this series of storms will continue to change as we get closer.
