RED BLUFF, Calif. -

On Tuesday, Kevin Colburn of CAL FIRE released the cause of the Sale Lane fire, stating that it was started by two boys between eight and ten years old who were "playing with a lighter."

Colburn told us that the children were from out of state and have since returned home. Colburn said the parents will not be fined.

The fire reached 102 acres in size and is 100 percent contained.

Colburn told us that four multi-family dwellings have been damaged including apartment 104 in the Red Bluff Apartments complex, part of the Best Western Plus Antelope Inn and a restaurant on Sale Lane.

The fire started north of the Antelope Blvd. overpass around the East Sand Slough between Interstate 5 and Sale Ln.
